I am having a disagreement with the anticoagulation clinic. My INR test at home was 5.0 on Wed. 6.5 at the Lab on Wed. Now they want me to test again today to see what it is. I told her that 2 days is not long enough to wait, she said that is not true. don't you have to wait for 3 to 4 days to see a change?

I went ahead and ran a test on InRatio 3.5. The pharmacist was telling me I should not take any warfarin today and I told her how fast my level drops. Now maybe she will believe me. I called in the result and she has not returned my call. One of these days....................

I just got a call from the Pharmacist, she said I should only take half a dose tonight because I'm on the high side at 3.5 (range is 2.5 to 3.5) and it is very unusuall for someone to drop that fast. What do you think? I think I should take my normal dose.

So did you already hold one dose or take a half from when this started?

Stand your ground. You are fine and in range. No need to drop any further and chances are, your still dropping a bit as is.

An INR of 3.5 is just fine. I agree with you taking your normal dose.
