Like Ross said...you need to get on the insurer to get the stuff done. I had about 3-4 months wait time to get approval and that was with being on the phone almost every day with them. I think the problem is that these are very low demand pieces of equipment and they simply don't know the claim handling process within the company. Folk like QAS can help with the paperwork, but it still has to get moved along within the insurer's approval system. Keep at 'em.
I actually sent in the perscription to my HMO, I know that it will be covered, it is just taking so long! Is there another avenue that you recommend I go through?
I think you should call Lance ( In the post before your last one)..He works for QAS.....They worked with my Insurer..and I was able to get it quickly..Also, I order from supplies from them.........Always shipped the next day.Bonnie
Skip them and call QAS. That's what we did, and the rep helped "push" things along. Even still, it took us 3 months..................and YES, we got our INR machine yesterday!!!!!!!! Good luck.. Janet
I would call your insurance company to see what you need to do. Some of the insurance companies only work with certain vendors. If yours works with QAS, then you can all Lance as the others suggested. It took me a couple of months to get my machine. Good Luck, it will be worth the wait.
