Hey all..I was just wondering about something with my daughter. We went to the docs the other day and her blood pressure was 116. They took it while sitting and laying and her heart rate dropped by 10%. They're going to do a tilt table test on her. I was just wondering what this could mean.

Was that 116 over something, or something over 116? Makes a big difference. 116 over a much smaller number (say 70) is fine and normal. Something (higher, say 160) over 116 is very high.

As for heart rate dropping when lying down, surely that is normal, resting heart rate is less than moving about. As I sit here typing, my heart rate is from 85 to 105, lying down it might be from 70 to 80.
