Its spring time and I have never experienced allergies before surgery:)
Now its after surgery:( and I'm now experiencing the running/dripping nose and then stuffed up kinda feeling.
I've search other threads but they relate to cold meds, nothing on spring allergies.
And for those of who don't know......I am on warfarin.
Is there any help out there for me, its starting to get annoying and especially at bedtime - thats when I get stuffed up.

Thanks for reading.

I used to take Claritin. Now I take Zyrtec. Both are over the counter and neither mess with my INR.

I don't have experience with INR, but if you have allergies AND you have trouble sleeping, Benadryl will knock you out. It actually sounds kinda perfect for you. Of course you might want to talk to a pharmacist about it.

The generic name is diphenhydramine. It's very affordable in the generic form. I think it's 5.50 at walmart for 100 pills.

Hey Freddie! My mom the valve patient has been on Allegra (prescription) for years for her allergies and it helped a lot! Not sure about the INR part-my mom is on Plavix and aspirin...hope you feel better fast!:)Deb

only joking pal, just getting you back for revving me up in the chat room.!
goodluck.
AH.

Well someone had to "break you in" ;):D:D:D

Hey Girl!! sniff, sniff. My allergies were worse a couple of weeks ago...bummer.
I've heard that antihistamines or decongestants may mess with blood pressure, but that's it. Drink water. Don't hang your laundry outside.

Thats a good point Bina, but my BP is good and I'm not on any BP meds.

Just so you know friends.......I took a Claritin and it seems to be helping. Still feel kinda stuffed-up but no more dripping.
