Hello, Im new here , but not new to a st judes mitral valve. Had one :) installed last year. Have had 8 stents and a quadruple by-pass as well. Still learning how to really adjust my lifestyle with everything, and hoping to learn from you.
I am an avid canine lover, whether wild or domesticated , tried to put my child as avatar ..but to big..well ..hello!Love Yaps

Welcome, Yaps

Welcome, Yaps

Always glad to have new members here. Our strength is in our numbers of folks who've gone through valve replacement either themselves or as significant others. I think Ross will be along soon and will help you with that avatar.

I have two dogs (one stray, one pound puppy) and 4 cats (all strays) and two perfectly wonderful, precious, darling grandsons. Oh yeah, also 2 adult kids. :D

Just wanted to drop by to say welcome; there'll be lots more of us along soon.

Welcome to this forum. You'll find these people are wonderful and they all seem like family.

I am a avid animal lover too. I have a Blue Heeler, a Bichon Freshe and a cat named Felix. Years ago I had a pet skunk that I loved dearly. He was the best pet and so much fun. When I was younger growing up on the farm I had horses and all kind of animals. I always made pets out of eveything, pigs, calves, etc. It was always hard for me to realize that they were being raised for food. To say the least, I'm not much of a meat eater. I live on a farm now but at the time we don't have farm animals. But I do know we'll never have any that will be used for food.

Thankyou

Please everyone: meet Solomon, the wise one.. who warned me that I was having a heart attack the day I had it... by giving me the most sorrowfilled howl... the one and only time he did such a thing..he saved my life. Love Yaps

Hi Yaps, and a welcome to both human and canine in your family.

Evelyn here, whose husband, Tyce, had AVR almost 2 years ago. He's doing well. We're also canine lovers---4 at present and one cat. Used to have horses, etc., but through attrition we now only have dogs.

Again, welcome aboard and enjoy this list---the people are the best.

Evelyn

Solomon is tough,,but

Solomon is tough,,but

Your cats could most likely whip him..heheee

Hey Rossman

My cat beats up my dogs!!! He's a 15yo street cat that adopted us because he was going to be eaten by a hawk.....we should have called him Hawkeye, but named him Scooter because he used to scoot around all over the place. He still chases off any stray dogs and keeps ours in line with a quick slap in the face.......
