GREETINGS TO ALL MEMBERS: It has been quite awhile since I posted a message and just wanted to say hello to all and let you know you have been in my thoughts and prayers. As I perused the posts it is nice to see so many familiar names still with us. I recently underwent a back surgery (laminectomy) . Boy the pain before the surgery was worse than a good sneeze shortly after they opened my chest and did the valve replacement a year or so ago!! It took the ortho surgeons a day to decide if it was safe to do an MRI on me cause they were not sure if the stainless in my chest would react to the magnets!! Makes you wonder doesn't it?? Good news is the surgery relieved the pain pretty well. I am 3 months out now and if I take it real easy I get by with a couple of tylenol and just a little back pain. Ross, about Dr McCarthy moving, I guess you have to count your blessings that you had him in your neighborhood for awhile and now he is helping out elsewhere. Lisa, I pray that all will go okay for you. Dave

Hi Dave, yes that's true about Dr. McCarthy, but it doesn't make the feeling any less sickening if you know what I mean.

Welcome back!

Yeah, I understand where you are coming from Ross. If my insurance co. would have let me I would have had him do my AVR.I had a good surgeon, he did Larry Kings heart, and I have not had a lick of trouble with his work and it has been 15 months now. Of course, I know down the pike I will be returning for another one if I am still kicking in about 15 years. Nice to hear from you. Dave

wow, long time no see. The moment I laid eyes on your name in the thread, it struck a note. Sorry you have had so much pain. I can relate, but glad it is so much better. Back surgery is a bummer (haven't had it, but heard about it). So nice to see you again.
