Hi everyone
Sorry that I haven't been on for a while but my computer was having a lot of problems. I have really missed interacting with the people here. There seems to be a lot of people using the forum since I was last here. That is a good thing.
Well there have been a lot of changes with me but I guess I'm holding my own. I have run into a number of problems since I was last here and trying to deal with them. The mitral valve seems to be working fine but the left side of my heart still isn't pumping right. Before Christmas I had a mini-stroke (or so it seems).I will have the cat xcan and utrasound done soon. I hope anyway. The weight gain is becoming unbarable. Up 40 lbs. since last March. I have tried dieting, exercise and just letting things go on has they should. But it is very hard. It seem like I get one thing fixed and something new comes along. One of my doctors seems to think the amioderone may have something to do with the weight gain. I am planning to discuss this with my card. to see if I can come of it. The medications are not getting smaller. I started takin plavix along with the blood pressure bill, fluid pill, amioderone, plavix, lipitor, and last but not least warfarin.
I guess my question is does anyone else have a weight gain problem since their surgery or just me. I am averaging 5lbs. a month. Eating the right foods and taking my meds. everday on time. If someone has some insight into this please let me know.
My card. wants to do another anthogram because he thinks that there might me more blocked arteries. He is waiting for me to give him the ok. I am not sure that I am ready to go through that just yet. So soon after the surgery and just starting to get back to myself. I am sorry for rambling on and on. But it has been so long since I have posted. Hope that you are all in good health and had a good Christmas.

Hi and glad to see you posting again!

I gained weight also. 15 lbs and it seems to be holding at that. I cannot excercise which isn't helping me any. Are you getting enough? I know it's not a cure all, but it sure helps.

There could be many unexplainable reasons for your weight gain. Only suggestion is to discuss it with the Doctors and see what insight they can provide. Not much help am I?

I do hope they don't find anything else going on with you. I can't say as I blame you for not wanting to start the testing all over again at this point. Do what your comfortable doing.
