Well, it was in the 90'sand very humid again yesturday. If that isn't bad enough our central air decided to stop working!!!  It still feels cold but it barly blows any air out of the vents. This is for the birds!!
We had the same thing happen last year! We found out that the people who owned the house before us put in furnace filters that were two inches too short!! Jeff didn't notice it when he would change them. He just bought the same size as what was in it. Needless to say, our furnace was full of dog hair! Since then we have changed the filters every month in hopes of avoiding a repeat occurance. I just hope we can get it fixed soon! I don't function well in this heat, it sends my asthma in a tizzy. Our poor dogs aren't taking it well either! OK I am ready for a little snow right about now!! YES I AM SERIOUS!!!

I don't get along well with it either, but I'll take this heat any day over that white cold crap.

It's horrid for me without A/C. I cannot cut it and tomorrow will make the 21st day this summer we've seen 90 or better. Thank God my A/C is working or I'd be up the creek.

I am also having a hard time breathing. Just feel very worn out. Almost like how you feel when you are getting a cold or flu. People without problems like that don't really understand how frustrating it can be. Jeff is so lucky that he doesn't have allergies. My boys and I wake up every and sneeze for about twenty minutes!

Hopefully we will get a break in the weahter soon!

Good Luck Harry! Hopefully, you will get some good news from the dr.

I am just wondering if it's getting time for me to see about....

Oxygen, as I really am having trouble especially when I exhert myself in any way, and to climb the stairs to go up to my bedroom is a real chore...and when I go to lay down at night to go to bed, my breathing gets really labored...I am wondering if it's time to ask for Oxygen.. I have been taking it really easy with the heat, and I have done ok up till now, but somehow it always comes back to bite you in the rear somehow...Thank God for A/C !!!Harrybaby  :D

bring on the snow!

bring on the snow!

I have decided I am never happy about the weather. IN the winter, I want the sunshine, in the summer, I just plain want relief. I am putting my house on the market tomorrow and in the past (pre-heart condition) I have been able to work nonstop to get the house in tip top shape. I am somewhat embarrassed and frustrated about the overall apearance. Oh well, what is a person to do?? I just feel so limited. I am sure I won't get top dollar. On the up side, I will be getting into a smaller home with less maintenance. Trying to be positive here!! :) Autumn is just around the corner

I haven't been having a very good time with the heat this year either. Of course it's been in the 90's and several days have reached over the 100 mark. I've with you Ross, thank goodness for a/c. I can remember when we only had fans and attic fans. I can't imagine how we survived the heat. Of course I was a lot thinner and healthier! We haven't had a good rain for a couple of months. All the grass is dead, well at least I don't have to mow. LOL My flowers are having a hard time surviving even though I water them sometimes twice a day. Oh well, it will be cold one of these days and I'll probably be griping about that too. I love the fall when the leaves start to fall and there are so many pretty colors. With it being so dry this year I may not have to brush hog the field this fall. That would be nice. We did finally get the hay cut and put up. We hired it done. We just don't have the machines to do it. This way it gets cut and we get a share of the money when the hay is sold.

I mean think realistically. The last snow we had here was only 3 months ago on May 3rd. I'm in no hurry to see that crap again.

It sounds like your fan is shot, feeling cold but limited air, pray that it wont be costly ,living on the gulf here, its always,HHH,hot,humid,hazy..if not any of these its a HURRICANE!! lol..wish you fast relief, yaps

Yeah!!! Our air is back on!! Turns out it was plugged up...AGAIN!
This same thing happened last year. I guess when you have three dogs and a cat there is a lot of hair that gets sucked into the cold air return. I guess we will have to change the filters even more often than we have been.

It's a good thing it's fixed because tempers were really starting to flare!!!

Jeff and I both have been on really short fuses the last couple of days. Now hopefully tonight it will feel like a meat locker in our house and we will all be able to sleep!!

Weather

Is so funny..Hubby and I drove up a few hours away to Cherokee N.C...so he could replace something on top of Motorhome..Impossible to do it in heat..where we live....The weather was so nice..Blue skies and almost chilly enough to wear a long sleeve shirt...The Smokey Mountains of N.C. Drove back home and almost died of heat..when I opened the door to Motorhome where we live. So nice up there..felt like fall..Wood fire smell..Bacon cooking on outdoor grills, Yummy. I think we all love the fall of the year.NOT winter..but Spring, too.... what I have hated the most this summer..Rain, thunderstorms, lighting..Power going off...and now, Irene is on the way to Ga...S.C. next week. More rain..I'm going to build an Ark.. :D Bonnie
