HeartWalk Fundraiser

Hey all. Im usually involved in these sort of things as a donor. This time around Im asking the help of others. To show my support and gratitude for my terrific hospital and amazing surgical team whose incredible expertise and compassionate care I am so grateful for, I am participating in the Lee County Heart Walk this December and trying to raise funds on their behalf, for the American Heart Association. Us valvers know that life saving surgery is essential when the time comes. But so many heart patients unlike us can avoid heart problems all together through prevention and education. If youd like to help me show support for my hospital and surgical team I would be very thankful. Plus youd be doing so as an advocate for the mission of the American heart Association as well. Mike, glad to hear you are participating in this heart walk. I am going to pass on donating to this for a couple of reasons: 1) If I sponsor you, I will feel obligated to anyone else who requests support (even if it is for the AHA) and 2) I feel I should limit donations to my local hospital and associated groups. But I wanted to acknowledge your effort and send kudos for taking part. You are doing a great thing, especially so soon after surgery. Let us know how you make out, especially the walk itself.

Oh not to worry, I totally get it. I know they do these Heart Walks all over the country. I was simply extending the invitation to anyone who might want to help, just by contributing $5 or something.
