Hi Folks, I'm going to get one of these at my Cardio Doc's office Tuesday for 24 hours. It's to see if I'm have some Atrial Fib that's been causing some lightheadness and dizzy moments I've been having. I had the Coradid arteries (the ones in the neck) scanned last week and that came back normal. I've learned to live with some dizzyness since a head injury back in 1991 messed up my right ear, but I've been having some rather intense times with it for around two months now. Has anyone else had any lightheadness at around post 9 months? Will

I'm not quite at 9 months yet, but dizziness has been a real factor in daily life. I find for me it is directly related to the dose of the beta blocker. My cardio wants me on 100mg daily and at around 25 I'm zoned for hours until it wears down in my system. I've got an appt for a 2nd opinion next week; can't keep the room spinning like this!

I've been on ace inhibiters for 2 years, my dose is just 5 mgs once a day. This with no big dizzyness issues with that like I've had for the past 2 months. Will

I had problems with beta-blockers as well.
I was originally put on Metoprolol when I went into heart failure waiting for surgery. These caused no problem.
I was the changed to Carvedolol about 2 month post surgery.
Well I felt absolutely terrible from the second day I was taking them.
Continuous headache, light headedness like I was going to pass out, disturbing dreams and unbelievable fatigue.
I put up with them for 2 months until I returned to a scheduled appointment with the Cardiologist and complained.
She then changed me back to Metoprolol except the extended release version and I have had no problems since. :)

I don't take any medicine at all for my heart but I too have been having extreme dizziness to the point of having to sit down to keep from falling down. I mention this to my regular doctor and he said it was probably due to my blood pressure falling too fast or my sugar count had dropped out. He didn't seem to concerned about it. I do have a cardio appointment next month so I'll be sure and run it by him.
