Hello everyone and a happy New Year to all. Been down lately very tired, so I hope everyone had a great holiday season.

My question is after been out of commission for 7 months I have gained 25 pounds. Being physically limited and not increasing my food intake I have continually gained weight and can not afford to gain anymore. I have been looking at the Adkins diet but not sure if this is a good way because it is high in protien and fat but low in carbs. I need something that is heart healthy and something I can make as a life long change.

As a reminder I have Wolfe-Parkinson White, aeortic and mitral valve regurgitation, 2 blockages and recovering from endo and a stroke. So I need something that will be safe and life long change.

For a healthy life long plan, I would go with the Weight Watchers. Maybe a jump start of the South Beach and then long term WW. Try WW on line. You can get the info for free and follow it on your own if you are motivated. Good luck!
