Heart cath friday may 22

I will be going to St Louis Thursday may 21. I will have to be in St Louis at 6:30AM Friday for my heart cath. We are going to spend the night farday also. Then satrt back home Sat. I hope they don't find any suprises.

I am guessing the surgery will be some time the first part of June. I am still concerned but I have done my research and am ready to get this behind me. My wife is not computer able (like I am right) so when I have surgery I will have my daughter post progress. I can not tell you all how much finding this site means to me; the education . support and concern is just great.

On a side note a young man I served with in the military had a heart attack this week. He is 41 and just returned from Iraq. He had a stent put in his heart and one in his aorta and is doing OK.

I hope your heart cath goes well!!! Yes, you will be happy when the whole surgery is behind you!!! I agree, this place is awesome!!!! I didn't even know I had a problem, found out the beginning of Feb and had surgery March 18, everything was so quick. I was blessed when I found everyone here, like you said the education and support was just awesome. I would have been going into surgery blind without everyone here. Safe travels!!!

Sending you best wishes, John. Hopefully your cath will provide a good report. Most of us find the cath very tolerable. I expected far worse than the reality. I felt nothing, had no discomfort afterward....not even any swelling.
