If you can remember back that far I answered someone?s post under the old ?Coumadin? category that when my Cardio took me off Coumadin after my repair the nurse gave me a card with Stroke Warning Signs and told me to call 911 if I had any of them. I think Al asked me if I knew where that card came from. Well, I remembered this time and noticed the card on one of many ?BUY ME? pill ads sitting in the waiting room. However, just as I was about to write down the name of the company that set up the stand I was called back for my ?interrogation? (no, not GITMO) of my ICD (more of my results elsewhere). Of course, I forgot to get the company name when I left. When I called the office to see if they would look out in the waiting area and give me the name I was reminded that they CLOSE ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
This a wallet size plastic card printed on both sides. Most of the warning signs can also mean something else but WHEN IN DOUBT, CALL 911. The two web sites (in case you can?t read the fine print at the bottom with your new bi-focals) are:
www.americanheart.org
www.strokeassociation.org
They might have the card available on their web sites. It would be a handy thing for us to carry, just in case.
Read my less than good news posts elsewhere.
May God Bless,
Danny
