Thanks, Ann. The 2001 Duke study on pumphead has been widely publicized. I believe there have been improvements in the filtering of the blood as it circulates, and in monitoring the patients body temperature; quite probably as a result of it. It is interesting that at the conclusion of reviewing the article, this cardiologist states... If you do need to have bypass surgery, keep in mind that the majority of patients in the Duke Study had no significant deterioration in their mental capacity, and further, of the ones who did, many never noticed it in their day-to-day lives.

I wonder if Physical Therapists who assist stroke victims would be of any help to those select few who feel that they have serious pumphead.

I was also just going to ask the forum a quesiton about MVP and the article here answered it for me! So, thanks again.

some of these articles were written some time ago. He wrote a couple of them for me - dysautonomia and the amiodarone ones because I kept asking him questions about them on his forum. Those two subjects (and the pumphead one) drew quite a bit of interest at the time. I first learned of pumphead from him. This was a few years ago.
