Hi all,

I hope this finds all of you in good spirit and health. Ive been coming here on and off since before my AVR in March '07. I know how supporting and loving a community this is.

With that said, I've had some bumps in the road with taking care of myself, taking my succesful surgery for granted, that has lead me to an unhealthy lifestyle which I have finally had enough of.

I have begun changing this lifestyle a week ago today. With that being said, I would really like to be able to talk with someone or someones who may be in a similair circumstance. That would be leading a healhy lifestyle after heart surgery and them slowly letting that slide.

Again as understanding and open as I know you all are here, I'm not quite ready to get into full blown details on the open forum as of yet. I was in the hopes that people with similair circumstances (i know its hard knowing "what" circumstances without going into more detail, but I've giving a general idea), people who have let there lifestyle slip post surgery and got back on track, or are in the midst of the same now, might be willing to discuss via private message.

If any of you out there are open to this and would like to discuss, trade experiences, find out whats going on because you've been there, done that, or are going through it, I would greatly appreciated.

So again I hope you ALL are doing great! And I hope to hear from some of you in reagrds to this via PM. Thanks for reading.

Jay

Jay, I am not in the boat that you are looking for, as I just had surgery in March and am currently working hard to change my pre-surgery habits to good habits and lifestyle, with some success. However, I hope someone on here does reply and you can get some support in your efforts. In any case, good luck and I hope things get better for you.

Jay, i'm a class of 2007 graduate and have bounced back and forth handling different health issues (read my history link below) and I am always interested in comparing notes........I have a great long distant plan and phone all over North America talking to fellow radical sternectomy patients http://sternectomysupport.webs.com/ and a couple of ICDers http://icdsupportgroup.org/board/index.php and am always looking forward to new contacts PM'd to me......my LD plan is Nortrh America 1000 minutes and I use only about 500-700/month
