Over a 4-year period where is saw 12,000 patient visits in my clinic, serious bleeds (requiring 2 units of blood or more or any bleed into the head occurred at the rate of about 1 for every 33 patient-years. Most of these were bleeds into the intestine or bloody noses that just wouldn't stop. I did not divide out how many were into the head, but they occurred probably about every 50 to 75 patient years. So the odds are very stong in favor of yours not being a bleed into the head.
