Harpoon

Gawd, I have too much time on my hands (NOT!!!!) and no one seems to want to stop my yappin' so far.... :D

I remember my first 1000 - !!! Don't know if I was first, but close to it, and Nancy wasn't very far behind. Nobody gave me a prize - I did hope for a trip to Hawaii, tho.

Good for you, Harp. Yep, too much time. Good practice for the newspaper, tho.

And Mary, you can't stop that ball rolling.

Ross, please put the latex gloves away thankyouverymuch!!!

Unless you want me to pull a pair of "evil purple dinosaur" gloves out of my jacket...

Silly me, I started packing a few pairs of gloves in my coat incase I need them as a "medic" with the fire department thing.

By the way, so far the tally is five calls (EMS) today... Intended to spend the morning with a few guys from the EMT course having a review session but instead we ended up going on calls together, been a busy morning.

I'm at work now so I'm probably done playing firefighter for the day unless something big happens, then I'll be doing double duty, firefighter and press photographer.

Come to think of it, I'd probably end up shooting for both the paper and the fire department if "big" happens, which never seems to work out when I'm "on the clock"...

Harpoon,
I just looked at Bonnie's, Nancy's, and Hensylee's join date and each one's number of posts.
According to my calculations, they all had to post more than a 1000 a year to have the number that they do.
We'll both have to kick it up a notch if we want to post in their league.
And Ross, we expect much better than what you're offering! :D

About 16 posts a day, every day, for the next year to catch up.

Assuming they stop posting outright. =)

I want a "designated poster" when I'm having my valve replaced. With the numbers you quoted, I can't lose ground for any reason. :D :D

Congratulations, Harpoon, on your many posted contributions to the diversity of thought on the site.

I realize I'm unintentionally chasing after the big posters too, though I did take a few days off for my surgery in April. Still, as we progress, Bonnie, Hensylee, RCB, Nancy and others progress (totally forget Ross - he's completely out of sight), so we may never actually meet up with them.

I reckon my typing fingers are about as noisy as anybody's here, but I try to keep a low profile about the numbers, due to the...uh...reward system. Brings a whole new meaning to the term "Prize Patrol," doesn't it?

Last prize like that I got was a pain-relief suppository, while I was still unconscious from surgery. My wife said it roused me to near consciousness, whereupon I muttered some loud, but incomprehensible imprecations, and summarily "rejected" it.

So, PrizeMaster, keep yer cotton-pickin' gloved digits to yerself... :D

Best wishes,

Most posters..post their most posts....pre-surgery and then for about 3 months post-surgery.(That was a mouthful.. :D ).....and then they fade away................................. I want to thank you, Harpoon, Mary and Bob for staying.. :) Ross, Nancy, Ann and myself are obsessed.....Not, Nancy, she is just very dedicated...with her wealth of knowledge...for helping others.... Ross, Ann and myself are just the 3 Stoogies. :p :p :p trying to bring a litle laughter aboard.. We used to have where you could see the Top Posters. what happened to that? Ross? Bonnie

Okay, there's # of posts. What I want to know is who gets the award for average # of words typed per post. I'm guessing it's neck and neck for Bob and Harp. And they say women can talk!!!! :D Keep up the good work guys. The funny thing is - you always have something interesting to say.

I realized I am a relative newbie with going on 500 posts. I am amazed at some of the post numbers because I think I am posting a lot and it's nothing compared to so many.
I believe that dedication (or obsession or just plain caring) is what makes this site so great. Although there are many people who pop in for awhile to get info, there are so many who have stuck around.
Truly impressive guys and not very common for this type of site.
Thanks to you all.

What 'r all you guys doin' with those rubber gloves anyway??? I can understand Harpoon because he's now "in the EMT field", however, now he's carrying around some purple ones in his coat pocket, and Ross, well-- I think it's just a fetish.

You guys are scary :D

Twobagotwo,
Thanks for including me in such esteemed company, but if you look at my post numbers- I'm a piker compared to these members  Sorry to have to correct you :(

RCB,
That's ok; I'll lend you some of mine, if you'll take Ross's prize!
