Happy New Year!!!!! The roads are fine here.
Dense fog this morning in Georgia. I had to work today and the drive in at 6 A.M. was not much fun. Its suppose to turn windy and very cold over the next few days. Lows in the 20's. No snow or ice though. I will be off tomorrow to cook my Black Eye peas and collards.

Happy New Year to all and stay safe. We had lots of accidents this morning due to black ice - unexpected also.
Like Ross, I am out soon to do some food shopping for dinner this evening then we are in for the duration (at least until Wednesday morning when work starts again). At least it is only a 3 day week before that long stretch of no holidays.

We had just enough snow to make the roads slippery....
My hubby has gone into town to fill up my prescriptions so that I have the Dec.2007 date on the prescrip receipts. Once it is january 2008 I have to pay the $25 deductible.

Beautiful, sunny morning here in my neck of the woods! Highs expected to be in the mid to upper 60's! Happy 2008 everyone!!

It's cool and cloudy in SE Missouri, but a cold front is due to move through overnight and plunge the temperature into the low teens.
The good news is mid-January's forecast . . . sunshine and warmth (at least in our household) when our son gets leave time from Iraq!

Happy New Year Yaps!! Hope your feeling alot better. We just had a heavy snowstorm (our 4th one this month) and due for another one tomorrow into Wednesday. Staying in from the storm until time to move the cars...Yikes.... Harrybaby

Roads were wonderful this morning.
But an "inch" of snow (the forecasters still seem to be claiming it is only an inch, but if that is an inch out there, I'm the Grinch Who Stole Christmas) by afternoon ... and the roads were treacherous. Saw TWO major collisions on my way home from work (roughly the 4:30-5p hour, central time). But, I had NO problems, even with my RWD..... Here, I thought FWD/AWD/4WD was infallible......
*sighs*
I'm just glad I'm home ... kinda glad I'm "home alone", though it is looking like Mom and Dad won't be going after all, because of the weather....

Dreaming of a warm, sandy beach
It's extremely cold, and nasty up here. The 250 stranded travelers who slept in my high school last night would concur. Highways started reopening just before noon today. Sections of I-70 in our area didn't get reopened before 4:00 p.m. Travel on the re-opened highways is still hazardous as all roads are icy and snow-packed. Sounds fun, huh? A warm, sandy beach in Mexico sounds pretty good right now.
