I have two younger sisters. The one closest in age, Bridgid, had her second baby in April at the age of 45. Her first was born when she was 40.
My other sister, my baby sister, has tried to have a baby for more than 10 years. She turned 40 in April.
My baby sister called just a few minutes ago, and she's pregnant!
We're all deliriously happy!
I'm going to be an aunt again at the age of 52!!

What wonderful news! Katie was a surprise blessing......... I was 42 when I had her. Don is now 52 and has a three year old and a thirty year old........just a little spaced out (kids' age-wise, not Don! :D ). Again, congratulations to everyone.

Okay, Ross.....

Okay, Ross.....

Congratulations I think! Sometimes, I don't think you can get enough of kids. :)

You are the winner. I am shipping Katie your way, and we'll see how long you say that! :D Just be sure to make lots of trips to Walmart........heeheehee!

Congrats Auntie

Congrats Auntie

My darling daughter will be age 38 in Oct. Has been trying for 8 years..IVF, ect..so disappointing..Now, we are on Cloud 7..Their paperwork has been highly approved and is in Russia now....Their agency is looking for an infant boy age 6 months and toddlar girl up to 36 months. they have already had 1 referrel that they turned down over phone. didn't even want to see their photos..Children were older and they have their hearts sets on infants....Won't be long tho before God chooses the right ones for them. And I'll be a Babushka (Granbonny) in Russia. :D :D Congrats again. Bonnie

Bonnie and all others who've so kindly responded,

We're crossing our fingers that all goes well. She's having a little cramping, and I've told her not to worry, but I'm apprehensive. I will be until we hold a new baby in our arms.

My mom, who is 84, called last night and asked, "Do you think they've (both my sisters )figured out yet what's causing this (meaning the pregnancies)?
I said, "Yeah, middle age!" Until they hit 40, neither one could get pregnant!

By the way, my sister's husband just turned 52 and has a 16 and 20 year old by a previous marriage. He's stunned, but feeling kind of cocky about the situation. :D

Here's hoping that your daughter and son-in-law get their babies soon. :)

What wonderful news ..I do hope all goes well ...I have two nephews and a niece , 5,3 and 1 , who live next door to me with my sister and her husband ...and they have been a joy to our whole family ...my kids who are much older just adore them ...and we love the way they just amble across the gardens to our house to tell us their news or to get a tickle from my hubby and kids....I was blessed to be at the first boy and the wee lassie's birth ...both were wonderful experiences that I will treasure as long as I live ...I do so hope all goes well with your sister .
Take care and keep in touch
