My new years resonlution is to find a job that I like to do. I need to wait for 3 1/2 more years to go to nursing school, but for now I need to find something that I like better than babysitting other people's kids. My husband wants that too! Well, he wants me to get state certified, but secretly, I think I am going to find a job OUTSIDE the home and put my kids in daycare for like half the day. Don't get me wrong, I love MY kids, but childcare just isn't for me. I've never been able to "play" with kids. I just want to start my nursing degree...Take it easy!

Well, going to sound corny, but...
I need to see the best in all people I meet. Everyone has something to offer as far as experiances and knowledge and I plan to use them all. The weight? Need to loose 30 pounds to get to "surgery" weight. Problem is, most food taste sooooo good.
To all, have a good new year. It sounds like some of use really need it.

Happy New Year to all.
I have to go along with Billy, please send me some of that lost weight.
I know everyone seems to want to lose weight but there are those of us out there who have never been able to gain weight.
I'm sure Billy and I will hear it for this one.

I want to wish everyone here at VR.com a Very Happy and Healthy New Year!
My New Year's Resolution is to definately lose some weight. I have been out of my normal workout routine since the docs found the murmur in August. I want to get back in the shape I was in before all this heart stuff occured.

To all my "virtual" friends,

Happy New Year and may it be a healthy and safe one for you and all your families.

My personal goal is to stay healthy, keep up my excercising, losing weight, and spending more time with my wife and children.

I also share Bill Aldridge's note to Bonnie, Nancy, Ann, Al, Ron, Ross, Jim, Ev, Scottie and all the others. You are all very special people and you deserve a pat on the back for your advice and concern over the year(s).

Walter

Hi All....

Yep, lose weight (I'm doing Weight Watchers, too) and spend lots of time enjoying life this year. I'm with you, Nicole, I can't wait to see that ball drop either. Are you going in? We're not, but will watch it and then zonk out.....IF we can stay up that long!!!

I wish for everyone at VR the healthiest and happiest New Year. You are all such a wonderful group of people that you deserve only the very best life has to offer....I hope you receive it.

Evelyn and Tyce

PS Extra pounds are here for the taking.....don't be shy, there's plenty to go around.

2002 review

2002 review

Hi,

This year has been a difficult one for all of us that had our valve replacements sometime during 2002. We had to face the problem, make the difficult decisions, endure the agonizing waiting period, have the surgery and handle the recovery. For many of us, it seemed like one of the most difficult things we ever had to deal with, at least at the time. It was also very stressful for our spouses and families. With the grace of God, we made it through and we are stronger for it in many ways.

As the hundreds of posts have said, VR.com played an important role in getting through the ordeal. The support and reassurance was priceless.

Now we try to pass on some of this support and information to the new folks who are coming to our site. It is interesting and pleasing to see that VR went from under 300 members to a little over 600 members during the past year. (I know that must thrill Hank and the early members!!!)

One of the highlights of the year for me was to be able to attend the reunion in Las Vegas and to meet some of the wonderful people that I had been talking to on VR.com and to thank Hank for starting this forum and for all his hard work. It has been a real pleasure following the posts of Nancy, Ann, Ross, Bill, Rob, Nicole, Jim,Sylvia, Evelyn, Bonnie and the hundreds of people who make this such an interesting and informative site.

I wish you all the very best in 2003!

Ron K
