Happy Hanukkah, Joey, Sylvia, Steve and all others. Years ago my daughter insisted we celebrate Hanukkah (I am sort of a Catholic Buddhist, so what's one more religion?:D ). So we got a menorrah and made potato pancakes (I think she also was impressed that our young Jewish friends got gifts for 8 days!). Ever since then her teachers at school have always wished me a Happy Hannukah. By the way, we still light a menorrah and make those delicious lattkes.

Hey Paul....the more they are exposed to the better!

You know my background.;) My daughter in the second grade is becoming very fluent in Spanish. She has learned many Hanukkah songs and will be preforming them along with our standard issue Christmas tunes tomorrow at the holiday sing.

So proud of her. Nice to have some diversity. Oh, she's making her communion this year. Hopefully not too confused.;)

Happy holidays to one and all!

Happy Hanukkah to all of our Jewish Heart Buddies! Hope you also have a Very Happy New Year!
Take Care

Dave

I'll make it easy on myself and be politically correct - HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all!!! :)

P.S. Besides, I can never spell Hanukkah (is that right?) - being the Midwestern Christian girl that I am!!

Happy Hanukkah from a 1/4 Jewish girl! Ha!

My Oma taught me how to make potatoe pancakes and other German-Jewish dishes. She was a trip. I couldn't stand a few of her recipes when I was younger, especially Matza Ball soup. I like it now though and wish she were around to teach me. (She is in a rest home).

Cheers,
