I guess if you're "wise", you'll do as Bonnie says and only "watch the cake" --not eat any!
Of course, if you're like me, you'll skip the wisdom and attack the cake with righteous fervor (it IS your birthday, after all!)
Happy Birthday!!!! I hope you have a great day!!! Enjoy your cake and whatever else you can think to celebrate with and back on track tomorrow!!!
Ross, as far as the mid-life crisis goes....I though it started at 35 and ended when we get caught
Thanks friends for the birthday wishes! I've had a very nice easy going birthday. We are in possession of my chocolate on chocolate cake from Magee's Bakery (delectably diabolically fattening stuff). Cindy has something up her sleeve....I think it's dinner with our friends Jon & Sandy, but we'll see.
Ross, my midlife crisis started when I was about 12...I've always been old...I'm just counting on it get more fun and exciting as time goes by.
Steve, since you mentioned Perry I thought I'd let you know he's doing great. He is absolutely the cream of the crop of goldens....dogs for that matter. He's been a delight to Cindy and me from day one.
Cooker, close you eyes as I eat the rest of my strictly obligatory birthday meals....tonight and two others to go .

Wise,
Thanks for the info, Ronnie B. was the son of one of my father's cousins.
When I was searching for my extended family a few years back, Ronnie called me and we talked for quite a while.
My wife and I wanted to get down there to visit a number of people but health issues stopped that, so I never had a chance to meet him.
I am going to call the family this morning and extend my condolences.
Rich
