today would have been my sister's birthday, too. We always had a red, white, blue cake. She was so involved in civic matters and politics that it was very fitting to her way of life. I am sending a bd wish up to her.

Hi and thanks Ann and any of my ol' buds.
Yes, Ann, I think, I knew that Jackie and I shared our birthday with the country and a few other notables. Interesting and not necessarily a proud thing, I share the exact day and date with Geraldo Rivera.
Of course, the song that I have to sing today is "Don't get around much, anymore"
I am just fine health wise and miss this group terribly, I just have to spend my time with grand twins and helping neighbors as much as possible.
My brother died last month, unexpectedly. He was in the hospital waiting for valve replacement surgery. After my experience, he stayed in denial as to his own symptoms. Just waited to darn long. He was 11 years older than me and "prepared to meet his maker", very devout guy. I tend to be like so many others, "every body wants to go to heaven, nobody wants to die." And the Lord helps those who help themselves. Thanks to a great surgeon and a doctor that would not let me go on thinking that nothing was wrong just because I did not have symptoms. Glad I listened to him. I was going up to Kentucky to see him and be with him before the surgery, did not get there in time.
Hope all is well with this lovely group and I will try to check in more frequently, Love and best wishes to all.

I forgot to mention you there Ross, ol' boy. Hope you are better, I remember the trials you had at the time I joined the group, everyone thought you were a goner, til you got back, I just did not know what a great guy they were talking about.
