Its over, but it was a fun day, No b'day cake, instead a cherry cheesecake with whipped cream.
Its now 12 degrees and I'm getting tired of the winter and the $400 oil deliveries. I'm doing fine for an old buck, really I can't complain too much.
Its been fun to drop in and type (my 20 wpm) are less tedious when I'm happy.
I did look for some of the people that I went back and forth with and was sad to see they have also been absent (like Abba )

Hi Aussie, thanx, You know what? I swam in the Indian ocean once. I was in Bali where I ran into a lot of the folks from down under. And I could get an english paper to read (Austrailian) made my day.

Oh! A bit of dog news-- Did you hear/read about the man in Bangor Maine with over (150,I think) springers in his house? It seems he was going into raising the animals to make money and he wasn't too good at it. It got away from him and he was overwhelmed with litters faster than he could sell them.
Well the spca took them away from him and brought him up on charges. They took the animals and gave them medical attention and spayed and neutered them and offered them to the public for a cost recovery and interview.my
I got one of three that were the last born litter (3mnths) and now my grandkids have a dog and they love him and he loves them. Oh yeah, they didn't cut the tail. ??????? oh well.

It sounds like you have been busy living and I don't blame you one bit for being away from VR.com for a spell. Glad to hear that your health is great and life is happy and fun for you. Congratulations on your new pet!

So glad to hear from you. Yes, I still am in touch with Sandy, and will give her your best. She's suffering right now with a tumor on her spine and is in much pain. Luckily it's benign, but they don't want to do surgery because it very possibly could leave her paralyzed, so that's a last resort.
I'm so glad you got one of Hagelin's dogs....he truly was a nut job. Did you hear he's suing the rescue, and the state of Maine for denying him his rights to breed dogs??? I'm so very glad they got those springers out of there. All the rescue's raised $$$ for the springer rescue in Maine, so it was a good thing.
Be well.....We are hoping to come up to Maine after Labor day, so maybe we could hook up and do lunch or dinner......
