Thanks for the birthday wishes!
We just got back yesterday from our trip to beautiful New Ulm, Minnesota (double graduation), so today is resting up from that "vacation." I do get chicken cordon bleu and cheesecake, but no bacon.
My thirty month anniversary on Mother's Day seems more significant right now than a birthday, even though I didn't realize it was thirty months until Wednesday. I must still have a healthy dose of pumpheadedness...

Oh I had a great day! I got a huge vase of red roses from my husband,
then he cooked lobster tails to perfection and we also had asparagus and sour dough french bread, and Domaine Chandon Blanc de Noir champagne. Then. we had the cake I made, devils food with vanilla pudding in the middle layer and frosted with white frosting, yummm
I didn't like turning 50 , but it really is just another day!

Note to Gail -- You can always use my line: When my wife, who will be 50 in a couple of years, asks me what it was like to turn 50, I respond, "Frankly, my dear, I can't remember!" NOT a big deal for me. It is all attitude, and I REFUSE to grow up!

Gail, you know they say you're supposed to do something fantastic on your 30th, 40th, 50th birthdays. Something really memorable. Mine have always pretty much been 'just another day' too. Although.... I did spend my 40th birthday sitting on bleachers in a tiny town, in the middle of nowhere, on the reservation at a wrestling tournament. lol My son and his friends sang me happy birthday tho! Actually .... can't think of anyplace I'd have rather been.

And Jim... that's right... why waste your bad boy points on bacon (yucky!).... hope you enjoyed a nice cold beer instead!!
