Three years ago today I had my AV replaced with a homograft at the Cleveland Clinic. I woke up and thought "well, I made it". Then I realized that I didn't really hurt anywhere either, yea! I went home in 4 days. I felt better almost immediately. Just ouchy aches...they didn't even send home any pain meds...told me to use Tylenol or Advil(which I prefer). Used Tylenol PM to help me sleep through the nights at first. Walked, walked and breathed , breathed. I feel better now than I had for probably ten years. And explain this...I don't have the asthma symptoms I did before...I'm not allergic to horses or anything! I eat right, exercise and love life. May everyone have such problems!

Happy Life and Anniversary!

I only WISH my surgeries would have outcomes like yours did.

Glad things are working out A+++ for you and hope it continues that way for many years to come. :)

Hi Jean!

These birthdays are so important, aren't they. Just reminds us every year of the blessings we received when we got our very own personal miracle. Congratulations.

Hi Jean,
You were one of my early inpirations. I've been "tracking" you (unfortuanately I'm not dangerous) since prior to your surgery. I remember you worrying about your animals, and I remember you telling your husband "If I feel this good while I'm still in the hospital, imagine how good I'll feel after I get home."
Congratulations!!! The more success stories like yours the better. I hope you continue to post your status every once in awhile. It builds confidence in those who, like me, were facing AVR surgery. (I finally did it and I'm doing well.)
Sincere best wishes,
Don
