Our family just returned from 8 days camping at Bass Lake, near Yosemite. It was a terrific vacation. Just days after our return, my daughter got an acceptance letter to USC!! She just completed a year at UC Irvine and decided it was not the school for her. So she applied to USC and got in, Holy Crap!!
Any advice on student loans, anyone?

Well, I can sympathize with you anyway!! But first, CONGRATULATIONS!! that is a wonderful school and you should be very proud. If she works hard, it will all work out for her. My oldest son just graduated from one of the Claremont Schools, very expensive. He ran out of money and became an RA (resident assistant). He got summer jobs with profs and did research, etc, earning grant money. He made a ton. He was a valuable piece of that small school and they helped him make it through. He's now in grad school with a full scholarship (and fellowship, actually) so I know the undergrad school saw promise enough in him to help him through. She just needs to get familiar with the financial aid department!! Our middle child is at an out of state University, and our youngest leaves for freshman year at an out of state private school.....next monday..... :( . There is help. Just keep asking and follow up on every lead.

GOOD LUCK! and really, Congratulations!!

:D Marguerite
