Can someone help.
A lady I know has a son with the same condition as our son had. It's called subaortic stenosis. He had open heart surgery for this in May last year.He now has this same condition again. The gradients in his heart is now 121 mmHg. Would anybody know if his condition is now severe. His mom is extremely worried about this, and I am. As some of you know our son had his second op last July when his gradients was only 60-65 mm-Hg. They said that this was moderate to severe. Hope you can help.

This sounds like a question for the CARDIOLOGIST to answer. If she is uncomfortable with him / his answer, then perhaps a second opinion may be called for. It would be useful to obtain a copy of the ENTIRE ECHO REPORT which the cardiologist's office should be willing to provide.

Thanks for the reply,
She is going to get a second opinion for her son,and she also has the echo tape to send.
