Got my date

12/8/2015. Weird when you get an actual count down. I had posted earlier in the summer about getting a 2nd opinion ...I did and DR. Gaca at Duke University will be doing my surgery. AVR and aneurysm. I really like my local surgeon …but if there was ever a time for a calculated decision and this is it…and Duke has superior data. So I will live with it however it goes.
I am going with the bovine valve…at 52 not an easy decision. But I just come back to being the most comfortable with that….and I certainly stewed on it enough.
I have more questions I will be asking over the next couple of weeks.
This sight has been a true godsend. Thanks to all.

Good luck with your upcoming surgery! If you are at peace and happy with your decision of valve thats all that matters. Thats what it always boils down to.
