In my quest to find the amount of vitamin K in prune juice I found this site, www.nutritiondata.com. It has tons of data.

Now my question. What is a lot of vitamin K? One serving (1 cup) of prune juice has 8.7mcg. Is that a lot? What is considered high and low?

Thanks….

That does look like a good site! There's a Nutritionista!! Like a Starbucks Barista? I think we need a Throwdownista! :p :p

Sorry I can't help with the Vitamin K (mooooooo)

About a year ago, Nancy gave us another site, USDA SR19 food search thing which was quite useful..... I think that one is listed in Reference Sources. Maybe Ross can put this one in, too.

HERE IT IS: U.S.D.A. National Nutrient Database (Vit K, etc)

Brussel Sprouts uncooked, raw, 8oz's

Vitamin K 156 mcg 195%

100% of recommeded daily allowance has to be around 80mcg I believe, so things higher then about that are your higher items. Prune juice is nothing compared to me brussel sprouts.

So 8.7mcg would be very low, correct??

Correct
