I just got off of the phone with Chris's sister and Dr.Cosgrove was able to make the repair to her Mitral Valve. She still had the vent tube in when she came around and isn't a happy camper about that, but they should be removing it within a half hour or so. This is all that I know for the time being, so please be patient. :)

I guess she didn't believe me when I told her that Dr. Cosgrove and I discussed her over coffee and donuts and he told me to tell her that he was the best and would repair it. hehe :D

That's great she got a repair. I'm sure she will be happy with that. Hopefully she is off of the ventilator by now. it's not fun I know but she's on the other side now.....

Good News From Cleveland!

No, this is not Chris.... she's in ICU at Cleveland Clinic. This is Wayne giving a quick report..... Hope I'm doing this right! I think Ross beat me to the good news! Yes, Chris's mitral valve was sucessfully REPAIRED!!!!!! YEA!!!!! Dr. Cosgrove gave me a great report after her surgery earlier today. What a day it has been! Just got back from visiting her in ICU.... she wasn't looking so good - go figure! But she is doing very well considering what she just went through. We are sooooo happy!!!!!!! The people in Cleveland have been just great! She should be in a step-down bed by the end of tomorrow (Friday). Can't wait to get her back home to Colorado..... Thank-you all for all the prayers and well-wishes! Wayne

Sorry I missed you Wayne when I called. I'll try again later tomorrow. I left a message with her sis for you. Please try to get some rest and I'll talk to you tomorrow. ;)

Hey Chris,
That is Great News! Now it is all down hill. Hope your recovery goes well for you. You are still in my thoughts and prayers.
Take Care

Dave

Chris,

Congratulations on your repair! Glad to hear the folks at CCF are treating you well. Cosgrove is the master - you were in good hands.

Best wishes as you recover.

Way to go, Chris. Stay in the tuck position and glide downhill. Wayne, good of you to post. Take care of yourself, too.

Paul

Thanks Wayne. Know it was a looong day for you but the worst is over now. And maybe she won't even remember the tube being there. My best to her. God bless

MEGA CONGRATS.....What a thrill, a repair!!! Take it and run....well, walk for awhile.

Take it easy, Chris.....you'll be zipping around soon enough.
