I'm looking for a Heart Hospital that might do Valvuloplasties in Tennessee. Nashville is of particular interest since it is only 100 miles away by interstate 65.

Good Heart Hospital

Good Heart Hospital

Memorial Chattanooga bills itself as a "Top 100 Heart Hospital". My surgeon was Dr. Richard Morrison, Alliance of Cardiac,Thoracic & Vascular Surgeons 423-624-5200, www.actvsurgeons.com. He is widely regarded as the best heart surgeon in the area. Memorial Hospital does more heart procedures than anybody else locally. My cardio is with Chattanooga Heart Institute, which offers "interventional cardiology" among other things. Try their website at www.chi.to

Al,

I had my surgery at Duke but I live in Nashville. I had my cath at Centennial Medical Center. I believe they are a top 100 heart hospital. The other two that are highly regarded are Baptist (St. Thomas) and Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is a teaching hospital. Hope this helps

Not sure how you feel about this- but i have been told the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio is the world renowned heart surgery clinic. Might check on the web to see what you think. good luck!!!

Hi,

I had my heart surgery performed at Vanderbilt Med Hospital in Nashville. It was rated 34th in the nation at that time.

St Thomas Hospital in Nashville also is a wonderful heart hospita and rated well.

My cadiologist doctor is based at St. Thomas, and have gone to the hospital several times for heart related issues.

Both of these hospitals are very good for heart patients.

ST. Thomas is the only 5star in the area...

ST. Thomas is the only 5star in the area...

So they advertise.

I was told St. Thomas and Centennial are the two best in Nashville for hearts. I chose St. Thomas since my brother worked in IT there and could get me the low-down on the surgeons. I used Dr. Ball. Everything went very smoothly.
