I bought some Dickenson's Hot Pepper Spread, 0 sodium, a savory jelly, kind of gourmet.
Tonight we had roast pork with the very spicy rub and as a condiment used the Hot Pepper Spread.
Chases those low sodium blues away.
I'm sure the spread would be good with turkey and chicken.
Here's the spicy rub again, it's HOT:
2 Tab. onion powder
1 1/2 teas. black pepper
3/4 Tab, cayenne pepper
1 Tab. paprika
2 1/2 teas. garlic powder
1 1/2 teas. ground thyme
1 1/2 teas. allspice
1 1/2 teas. sugar
1 1/2 teas. ground nutmeg
3/4 teas. ground bay leaf
Cooked the pork with a lid on until well browned and it was moist and tasty.
