Going to be a Georgia girl

Hi to all!

Well, this is the weekend that we make our move from Missouri to LaGrange, GA. We are all very excited and ready for the move.

Any one out there from the LaGrange/Atlanta area??

Brent, my hubby, has been away from the family for almost 3 weeks at his new job, getting things set up, finding a new house to purchase and lots of other stuff. I've been holding down the fort here, getting the house sold and in general trying to keep the kids in line

I will be glad to have the family all back together!!

I will probably be offline for a couple of weeks but will post again once we get settled in to our new place.

Hi Julia.

It's an exciting time. We have made state to state moves many of times. It an adventure, enjoy!

We are home in IL for now. Nice to be back with our family and friends. Though, we would like to stay for 4 years and return down south. It can be difficult on the childern. Our daughter loves an adventure herself and would pick up and go anytime too. As long as we have a pool. Which we do not at the moment. So I guess that is our incentive if the time comes again.

Welcome to Georgia. You will love LaGrange..Beautiful old antebellum homes and streets lined with huge Old Oak trees...yet..you are near Atlanta for any major shopping...Come up to Helen, Ga...bring the kids for a day of tubing and sight seeing. You will love it..Our Bavarian Village.

Daughter lives in Sharpsburg - grandson is a policeman in LaGrange (I think that's the town). Lovely area.

Hey Bon, forgot to tell you daughter/hubby spent a Saturday in Helen a couple weeks ago. I was SOOOOOO envious. I love that kind of town.

Welcome to Georgia.... I am sure you will love the LaGrange area. It has the small town atmosphere but you are close enough to Atlanta and Columbus to get a fix of traffic and hustle and bustle if you need it. We also have some very fine doctors here in the Atlanta area and three hospitals that have excellent cardiac centers. Bonnie is right , once you get here be sure to take a trip to Helen. It is truly beautiful. One of Georgia's treasures.
