I'm going alone to the pre-op appointment, as various friends and relations won't be able to go with me this time. I'll take a notebook and try to keep notes on what is said. My daughter, who is going to keep tabs on me in the hospital, is an oceanographer; the big Geophysical meetings in SF started today and she has to be there to show her research tomorrow. She'll be around while I'm in the hospital, though, and I've asked her to report to you. I feel pretty well prepared; what isn't done now can just wait! All the bills are paid for December (thanks to my handy computer), the house is pretty cleaned up, lots of books ready for when I can read them, friends and kids lined up to help. I potted up some bulbs for cheer. The sun even came out today!

So, take a deep breath, and go!

I want to wish you the very best surgical result possible on Tuesday.

So Bon Voyage and smooth sailing. We'll all be waiting to hear the news.

Talk to you later.

Sending prayers in your behalf. You won't have to worry - the hospital staff pretty much takes you in hand once you walk in the door. You then belong to them and they want the best for you. We'll see you over the top. God bless.........

Best wishes to you as you make your trek up the mountain. By tomorrow evening all will be said and done and you'll be on your way to better health!:)

Best wishes

Best wishes

By this time next week . . .

May your mountain be a molehill and may the truck miss you altogether.

It's really tough giving up that control and realizing that you need to have great trust in your surgeons and God and your body to get you through the next couple of days. We're all there pushing and shoving you up that mountain, too. All our prayers and thoughts and determination go with you.

We'll be looking for a progress report.
