Hi, All--

I'd like to get my EP doctor something nice as a thank-you. She went through so much trouble to schedule my EP study/ablation before too much time got away and also went out of her way to bring in another specialist for my procedure. I'll be seeing her next month, so I was wondering what might be nice to bring to her--maybe something she can share with her office?

Thanks!

A nice goodie basket...I sent one to my Surgeon and his team...they very much appreciated it, and showered me with hugs on my first post surgery visit!

Fruit and chocolates (note this is different from chocolate covered fruit ;):)) . That covers everyone - even those watching what they eat.

I'll tell you what......a little gift now & then can make a lot of difference in how your dr & his staff will treat you.

I had been having some problems with my cardio's office staff......I'd call & they'd keep me on hold for a long time or give me the run around on Rx's, what have you. They were even a bit rude & mean to me a few times.

So, I decided to change the game a bit..... The next time I went to see my cardio, I took a bunch of fresh veggies from my garden to him & his staff. They were all very appreciative & practically falling backwards to accomodate my every whim! LOL! :) :p

Now whenever I call, they think veggies, so they have been very nice to me since then! :p

Kill 'em with kindness! Good work Norma!

I agree with others a basket of goodies should do the trick.

Hi Debi, so good to see you back hope everything went well and your heart will be well behaved from now on, like an obedient student : )

My heart does just that! Behaves for the doctors, and as soon as they leave, my heart starts throwing paper airplanes and spitballs at the rest of the class!

Doesn't that always seem like the way.

Before my replacement, I was sitting in Doctor #3's waiting room for 2 HOURS to see him for the first time about my arrhythmia. I didn't have a normal beat for the entire 2 hour wait. I finally get in- they hook me up to the EKG and...... normal - one beat right after the other just like the textbooks say.

Chocolate! When I had my OHS, I had designed a box for a chocolate bar and gave the surgeon one the night before my surgery when I met with him. Then, a few days later when one of the surgeons assisting him came in, he said...oh, hi..you are the one that designs chocolate bars, we were all talking about that during your surgery!

I also brought lots of bars to give to my special nurses in ICU following the surgery and lots of great folks at Cleaveland Clinic who helped me over the mountain!

The cardiologist who diagnosed me then cared for me through my illness and recovery was a locum and he loved this island and would have loved to have stayed but it wasn't to be, so when I saw him for the last time I gave him a book of island photos which had been in the newspaper over a period of time years ago. I hope he liked it.

Nude Photo?

ROSS! You ol' dog, you! Well, considering that my EP doc is female...nah! Or, are you talking about a nude photo of someone else? You, perhaps? :D

Star, I like the idea of a goody basket. My cardio loves (a little too much!) the chocolate cookies I bake, so that might be an idea.

Well I could give you one, but I sure hope who ever you give it to has a great sense of humor. They'll be laughing hysterically for weeks.

I sent my son's Cardiology office an Edible Arrangement with some chocolate dipped bananas. They loved it!! The next time we went in for a visit everyone came around to thank Idrees for the wonderful fruit. He didn't know what they were talking about, but I did.

I LOVE them, I keep trying to think of an excuse to buy another one :) When My Mom passed, my Husbands family wanted to send one to my Dads house, but he lives in the middle of nowhere so they didn't deliver. They brought it to my house the night before, we packed it in a styrofome cooler (stood the cooler up the long way w/ the lid looking like the front door) drove the 4 +hours the next day, left it in the cooler until dinner time and I was nervous it would be brown ect, but everything looked perfect. SO all of this is to say, you don't have to worry about them going bad , the office could pick on it thru out the day and the fruit still looks/tasts great.

Some years around holiday time I send Edible Arrangements to my doctor's office. I always recieve a lovely note from them.
