Today I passed 995,000 meters on the rowing machine. Tomorrow, if all goes well, I'll pass the one million meter mark - my first significant exercise goal since my AVR on 2/20/04. I wanted to hit the million mark around the anniversary of my surgery - but I'm a month early! :D I'm going to keep on going...

Way to go Bill!!! If I had the energy, I'd be standing on the sidelines jumping up and down with pom-poms :D :D

A : )

Nice to hear from you, Bill. Good to see a friendly font...

Why don't you think of it as one of those donation thermometers, where they color their way up as the donations come in, then show it spraying out over the top when they've bested their goal?

The million-plus man...

Best wishes,

Hi Bill,

Congrats on nearing your goal! I've been meaning to PM you and tell you I've turned into a rowing addict as well! Tonight I did a paltry 4000 meters, but hope to build upon that number.

For anyone who hasn't tried rowing, it is a GREAT way to exercise the whole body at once, and in a nice, gliding, low-impact way, to boot!

Happy Rowing!

Melissa

Melissa,

Don't even get me started about what great exercise rowing is - a complete full-body workout plus cardio. What a time saver for those of us who always used time as an excuse not to exercise. A half hour on the rower every day keeps the doctor away, right?

Melissa,

Are you using a Concept 2 rower? If so, you should join Ar Bee and me in the Row Hearty club and log your meters with us on line. You can PM me for details on how to do it.
