Has anyone had gastric bypass surgery while on coumadin. What are the issues or problems? I am looking into the surgery and I am on coumadin because of my mechanical aortic valve. Not only does the bleeding or clotting risk concern me, but also the adjustment of coumadin dosing after the gastric bypass because of the greatly reduced amount of food. I am totally clueless and looking for anyone who has some experience or knowledge. Thanks!
