David by Philly

Hello all,

Our wonderful nurses allowed access to a computer terminal right by our rooms. YES, we are in the hospital recovering, posting from the HOSPITAL!!!

Gerry and I (David) are in rooms directly across from each other so we see and talk (and walk) several times a day.

The nursing staff is wonderful! It seems each nurse has a slightly diferent approach to nursing, and they all seem to complimetn and balance each other to give us great nursing care.

Surgeries were good news for both of us. Gerry didn't need the root replacement, just a root repair and AVR

David (me) needed no pulmonary or root work done, and only needed to have a standard AVR.

We both had a little post-surgical fillibrilation, occuring a few days later, but treating this common problem with medication, feeling good, and looking forward to getting home.

Will talk to you all soon.

Hey Gerry and David-

Computers in the hospital! What fun!

Terrific news about the two of you. I'm so happy for you. BIG congratulations and thanks for letting us know. Sounds like everything is going along about as expected.

It's all about healing and recovering now.

Take care,

Way to go Gerry and David

Way to go Gerry and David

There's no place like home; there's no place like home . . .

Congrats to youse guys; sounds like you were in a great hospital. How nice that you were in close proximity. Did you guys know each other before vr.com?

I'm really happy for you; breathe breathe breathe walk walk walk nap nap nap. And keep in touch!

Now I'm convinced that I went to the wrong the hospital! I'd've given anything for some internet access when I was in. Caring nurses? They still have some of those? Are you sure your not on Fantasy Island?

All kidding aside, it's great to hear your both doing well. Perhaps you'll both be discharged on the same day too. Remember all the tips we've been giving you and I look forward to your homecoming posts. Good Luck to the both of you! :D

Hey Gerry and David
Great to hear you both are doing just fine. Computers in the hospital, that is what I needed. Take care both of you and keep up the great recovery.

Dave

Hi Gerry and David!

Hi Gerry and David!

You guys sound terrific. I know you are having all the expected things that happen post-op but you sound upbeat. I couldn't be happier that you are both over the mountain and on the mend. I think an unexpected bonus is that the two of you are kinda on the buddy system :). I am looking forward to hearing more about your experiences once you feel up to it.
