I have now made 15 visits to cardio re-hab and they have impressed
upon me the importance of continued exercise when I finish.
They also stressed the new philosophy has changed from
3-5 days a week to 5-7.
Here in North Idaho it seems like winter is 6 months long and I live in a
very small place with no room for any exercise equip. I started out being a mall walker and a box store walker.
enough is enough!

I just joined a gym and my insurance is paying for it. woooo-hooooo!

If you weren't aware of this possibility I suggest you check with your
local gyms and your carrier.

If it helps, the gym I found is 'ANYTIME FITNESS'
and my insurance is 'STIRLING'

I hope name dropping is allowed.

I kind of disagree with the 7. I'm 60 yrs old now and have to have some down time each week or I eventually wear down. My routine is generally 5 days per week, not a set schedule really, and the weather does tend to rob me of at least one day a week. But if I find myself having run 7 or 9 days in a row, I feel drained.

Of course, if it's a different muscle group being used you might be OK. I'm a runner and left to my own devices I'd do nothing but run and neglect weights, etc.

Sumo Runner,
I see your point.
Running, however, is a lot different than a 30 min. walk, even a brisk walk,
...I think!
I'm personally doing 2 days a week of no exercise or very light exercise,
but not in a row. I might increase as I get stronger.

Thanks for your input,

Jack
