Trish....everything you are feeling is normal....you will be in my prayers....all will be well....((((HUG)))):)

Brats? If I were you, it'd be steak and all the fine other trimmings.

We all feel and felt that same feeling. Once you get through the doors, you'll calm down some. Not until then though.

I never had a chance to experience the "day before jitters". My hospital called me in 2 days early!
Can you take a teeny tiny half dose of Ativan or Valium, or drink some calming tea.

I was nerves the night before could'nt sleep well. So I was drug up with no sleep if you can understand that, took no drugs until they tried to start the IV.
Then after that don't remember a thing. It's ok to have those feelings because part of you wants to get this over with so you can get on with feeling better.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hear from you as soon as you can.

Keep busy to take your mind off of tomorrow. Before you know it, it will all be over and you'll be the road to recovery. Best wishes and good luck.

Trish ~ Best wishes and lots of prayers for a successful surgery and a smooth recovery. It's scary, but i'm sure everything will turn out fine. ~HUGS~ Dawn-Marie

Trish,
You'll be on the over the mountain top and on the other side heading down the mountain after surgery tomorrow. My sugery was 3 weeks ago tomorrow (3 weeks before yours). I remember the night before freaking out after my family all went to bed and I was still awake. I prayed. Then ithe freakout was over. Once you get to the hospital everything moves along and before you know it you will be waking up after surgery with nurses talking to you telling you it's all done. You will do fine! I'll pray for you so you can have peace before during and after! Enjoy your memorial day, too.

Been through that stage, its normal wat ur going through..I freaked out big time while they wheeled me to the surgery room. I began shaking and kept on asking them to give me one more minute...LOL i almost pissed my pants. My blood pressure was 260/50 before they sliced me opened. And ya, i could related to you and felt like just pushing it off to another date. if i knew i couldn't eat or drink certain foods after the surgery, i would of i found some excuse to change the surgery date. I would of gone on a good drunk then ate as much ceasar saland as i could...LOL but thats just me.. good luck you'll pull through.
