Hello Everyone.
Hello Everyone.
I have been away from home for nearly a month trying to help my parents through a difficult period of adjustment. I have no idea when I will be back in New Mexico.
Ross-I don't get a good internet connection all that often right now, but I finally got a chance to look at the pictures, which are great. Looking at these reminded me of some of the reasons I feel so homesick. I was trying to place these locations in New Mexico when I realized they were in Texas. To tell the truth, these are parts of Texas I have never seen before. (And a big improvement on what I had seen to date).
I may be wrong, but I think what Eva has noticed is that several of the pictures have been what I call "stitched". If I am correct, that means several pictures are taken, and then software "stitches" them together to create a new "whole" from those parts. I sure can't say if some of these have been stitched, but that's what it looks like to me.
For many, software has a big role to play in modern photography, but it hasn't been a big interest of mine. (I do have an Apple program called Aperature. I only understand about 10% of it, but I like the part I use). I have never invested in photoshop, as I have always spent my entire "photography budget" on new lenses. So far the "lens" temptation has been much stronger than any "software" temptation.
