Interesting, thanks for posting. I am wondering if the reduction in heart attacks among those who receive the flu shot is because the population of those who take the initiative to get the flu shot is more attentive to their overall health than those who do not. And that may account for the difference rather than some component of the vaccine per se. Just my contrarian thinking at work.
