It's fun to find familiar flowers in unfamiliar settings. You wonder how they get there. But I have heard that wild animals who eat seeds sometimes don't digest them all the way, and they get excreted and voila, some plants develop.

Pretty picture.

The random sightings of Irises are especially interesting since they don't propogate by seed; they spread by root sections. Maybe a squirrel or rabbit gnawed out a root and dropped it or burried it for later.
I also love the more subtle light of dawn and dusk.....Thanks Dennis.

You have me thinking Bina--how about three dogs, one of whom loves to bury random stuff?

Mrs. Smith is tempted to use "enhanced interrogation techniques" when they dig in her garden (which is by the way, by far the easiest place for a dog to dig), but she could never bring herself to do it.:)

I love the early morning picture - the colours are so vibrant.

Sadly, if I can't grow something in a tub on the deck, it doesn't stand a chance with the deer and elk around here.
