Yeah, But, Hensy....

Hensy,

If Florida is moving....why would they move into the middle of Tornado Alley?? LOL LOL Harrybaby666 :D :D :D

Ha!

Ha!

Ann,

After all you've been through; sense of humor intact. You are a gem. :) I hope the sunshine glows warm in your life these days.

Ann:

Have noticed a blizzard of radio commercials this week for vacations in Florida -- rooms @ Disney resorts as low as $58.

Harry:

That ain't Tornado Alley -- that's Snow Street and Reindeer Road territory!

Really?

Really?

Really? I was always told that Montana(My home State) and ND and SD were part of Tornado Alley. I guess once again, I was misinformed, although my father has told me of numerous Tornadoes where he was stationed at Glasgow AFB in Montana...So much for reliable information...LOL Harrybaby :D :D

Hi, Miss Ann

Hi, Miss Ann

My avatar buddy...Glad to see you posting. We are all thinking of you.. :) I want to move to Minot, N.D...saw on T.V. the other day..you can buy a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home for $200,000..the same home in Calif. costs over 1 million   Caldwell Bankers were doing the survey..They were placing the same beautiful home all over the country. Wonder what it's worth in Fla? :D Bonnie

Oh Harry!

I think your dad was pulling your leg! Tornados in tornado alley come out of TX, OK, Kansas, MO, IL, IN. The most deadly tornado outbreak in US history happened in 1925 (I believe). The tornados came through where we live and into S. Illinois. My mom, who was 5 at the time, remembers seeing a piano land across the street from their house, and they were 8 miles away from its path. My aunt, by marriage, was in school and was trapped in the basement when the building collapsed. It took eight hours for rescuers to dig her out. In later years she always got hysterical when bad weather loomed.

I don't know what your dad thinks he experienced, but I doubt that it was more than maybe one tornado.
I think he was telling you a "tall tale".

That Wouldn't Surprise Me Mary

That Wouldn't Surprise Me Mary

It wouldn't surprise me a bit about that one, as my father and I don't get along at all. He has treated me like dirt for all my life and I guess I should have learned that because he is alcoholic that he does tell tall tales. I guess I just wanted a father so bad that I didn't want to believe that he could be such a liar, and cruel and mean... :( Harrybaby666 :D :D :D

P.S. That makes me feel alot better about sometime moving back out that way, as I don't want to encounter one of those... -Harry :D

Hurricane zipcode

Hurricane zipcode

Hi There,

I am from florida, in fact Polk county where 3 hurricanes passed thru, it's been something else around here, and squeezed between 2 states sounds pretty good about now. I have a question, I am new here and I wondered is anyone out there dealing with AHP and phen fen settlement? Please e-mail me or answer here, I have many questions concerning this. Thanks, and I hope someday, the VR reunion will be in Florida. Take Care.

Peace,
Kathie

Hi,

I am so excited that I finally posted correctly. I live in Haines City. Bartow was hit pretty hard. I love this site...so many great people and so much info.

Ann,
Glad to hear you still have a sense of humor after the nightmare down there.
I wish I knew how to attach a picture to this post.
I received one yesterday that shows Florida is no longer the sunshine state, but is now known as the plywood state.
Good for Home Depot I guess.
