Peachy

Hi

I've just had my first week back at work after my op. Doesn't time fly. Been at home for 3 months. It's very tiring the first few days until you get back into the swing of things. Everyone wants to know how you are etc and tell you to take it easy. This doesn't last long and you soon feel as if you haven't been away. Just to remind them I wear tops which show off my scar :D

I've also starting cycling and have been doing about 5 miles most nights with LtCdData. This is a great way to get fit and hopefully will help to build up my fitness and stamina.

P.S. Contrary to popular opinion (by some) LtCdData is a great person to live with. He has been 100% supportive throughout and I couldn't have coped without him ;)

Hi Peachy,

Glad you are feeling good again and are back to work. Yes, time flies. Just take it easy yet, and don't overdo!
Am impressed with your 5 miles a day. Still energy to do that after work?

Take it easy!

Hi Peachy,

So good to hear that you are back into the swing of things. I found it interesting that you confirmed what happened to me too. People do ask how you are doing back at work, but as soon as they see you on a regular basis, the demands and workoad are right back to the way it was before surgey. I think that it is just too much too quick. We are still healing, but people being what they are, human nature I suppose, they expect things to be as they were before the surgery, just as soon as they see you around.

Glad you are letting them see your battle wound.. lol.. Sometimes that scar does put some reality back into the picture. I firmly believe that anyone that goes through a major surgery like ours, should take as much time as they an afford to, and enjoy life, smeel the roses, see things as they never have before, before returning to the rat race they were in prior to the surgery. In fact, I think that in many cases, the rat race was the main reason for the surgery.

I wish you many years of good health,

Rob

Glad to hear you are back into the swing of things. Take it from me, you need to go easy on yourself. I went back full time on March 1st after 3 months off. After 4 weeks, my doc cut my hours back to 30/week since I am having problems getting my blood pressure regulated. Also, he felt I was suffering from pure exhaustion. I feel better except for the blood pressure issue. Take care and I wish you continued success.
