First day of rehab and I didn't even sweat!

Of course I was just sitting and waiting but Andrew really liked it. The day before he was sick as a dog with some 24 hour virus or something but come morning he was doing good.

We have waited a LONG time for this. His surgery was in June! He had to wait after the little ICD implant in August and then it was trying to get some coverage.

This has been great for him. He has needed this outlet for energy. Hopefully he will do so well in rehab that they will remove most of his activity restrictions and he can get on with a more active life.

Just wanted to share cause it feels so good to be moving forward again.

Sounds great! Glad to know things are moving forward for Andrew.

And, I'm a bettin' some of that energy was spent cheering the Chicago Cubs onto victory today ... he he he

Thanks Cort! I'm afraid I hadn't heard that they had won though I did know they played today! WE always start strong it would be nice to finish strong one of these days.

Andrew was the only one with no homework! I don't know how he managed that. Brought home an awesome report card as well. Staight A student.

Way to go Andrew! Psss they don't let you sweat until the 3rd day of rehab <G>.

I finish on Wednesday my rehab. I will have done 36 sessions!

You will feel tons better and it helps to get the other restrictions lifted I bet!

Glad to hear Andrew finally gets an outlet for that teenage energy. I sure do hope it allows some of the restrictions to be lifted. Best of luck to him. (And I'm pretty sure that you are burning calories and getting in shape just by watching - I think that's one of the Mom Laws. )

Wouldn't that be nice if it worked that way? I would love to spend the time I am waiting for him doing my own exercizes but I would have to join their health club and the cost is prohibitive.

I have thought that on the nice days I can walk outside. Monday was pretty wet but if tomorrow is like today looked I might do that. I did do my laps in the pool today so am feeling really good. How did I get so out of shape?

I have 6 months to lower my weight some and drop my cholesterol so my cardiologist will be happy.

Yes, 'tis true ... start great ... end horribly. I suspect that'll happen again this year. And, whether we like it or not, I've already predicted the White Sox to repeat as World Champs. Think I'm wrong? Try this on for size: A year ago, in late April, 2 days before I, among many others, were let go from Sears, I had a chat with 2 co-workers ... both White Sox fans. We were discussing the Sox's strong start ... and I told them, quoting (almost verbatim): "As sure as I am that I will be one of the ones let go, I'm as sure the White Sox will win the World Series." And, guess what?! BOTH happened.

Now, if only we could get the CUBS to win the World Series ... and Chevrolet to give buyers the opportunity to actually buy an Impala or Monte Carlo again .

But, sadly, it doesn't quite work that way.....he he he.

They did okay today! Way to go Cubs!!!

Andrew's rehab went great today as Wednesday and I did walk Wed. as well. The spring weather was so nice. Today is COLD and wet and we had some hail. I read a book instead and Andrew said he did sweat a bit today.

Guess I will need to get to the mall to do any walking today.
