Well went in to get my inr checked this morning. 3.3. Woohoo! Second time I've been in range since surgery. It has been 4 months since surgery. They want me to wait a month to test again which is about the only thing I am not comfortable with. But hopefully I'll have my machine by then which I am able to test weekly with that. Still haven't heard anything yet and it has been about 3 weeks so hoping to hear something soon. Just happy to finally be in range for a change.

Be consistent (if you can) in your lifestyle and eating habits and you should be fine.

What was your last INR and what was the date?

Before I began home-testing, my doctor allowed me to go several weeks apart when I had two consecutive INRs in range.

If you haven't had 2 consecutive tests in range, you may consider asking the doctor if you can retest sooner than 4 weeks.

Last inr was 2 weeks ago and it was at 2.4. They have tried to put me up to a month before and I questioned it because I was below range at the time. So I retested after a week.
