Hi Gang,

I am just wondering......For those of you who have CHF, like myself, after you have been through a spell where you pile on the fluid, and then you get rid of it, do you feel uncomfortable in the chest for a few days afterwords? I have lost an aweful lot of fluid these past few days, and it seems like I am having a HARDER time breathing AFTER losing the fluid as opposed to while the fluid is in the lungs....I know this seems strange, but this is what's happening, and it truly is uncomfortable...I just thought I would ask, to see if there are other ideas as to how I can help this...I have tried mentioning this to the Doc, but they just say: "Yep, your lungs sound terrific..."-Yeah Right-they may SOUND terrific, but they don't FEEL terrific...Just thought I would ask...Thanks In Advance...Harrybaby:eek:

Hi......

Hi......

*HI Harold....I dont have CHF but I do suffer with SOB so I have some idea how you feel....especially when the doc says ''your lungs sound good''. For me, when I wake up in the morning it hurts to breath in, especially bad when I breath deeply. Also I often feel as though the air is ''dusty''.....weird. Anyway just thought I would reply and wish you well for some relief from your symptoms. (Also to bring your post back up in case it would get missed)...Best Wishes ....Jacqui.

Hey Harry,

Think I know what you are talking about...from some previous bouts with CHF. I think the lungs are "tired" from struggling and it just takes a while for things to feel normal again....but so long as your lungs are feeling "open" and you are breathing easily, I wouldn't worry about that feeling. It will most likely go away on it's own.

Take care and have a wonderful Christmas, especially with your adorable niece!

Harry -

I saw your thread - I know nothing about this problem you are having, but wanted you to know that I sympathize and hope that things get much better for you very quickly so that you can enjoy Christmas to the max!

Thanks Jacqui, Nan and Christina...

Thanks Jacqui, Nan and Christina...

I guess I must be having another bout of CHF, as I am Absolutely Wiped Out....I am getting so SOB just climbing the stairs and I am really tired, but my lungs are feeling not so filled up anymore, so I am hoping that after losing all that fluid, that I am starting to feel better....Thanks for the encouraging words....I am getting sooooo frustrated at having all these darned illnesses....I try not to vent too much, but sometimes one just has to let go....Harrybaby:eek:  Now, back to the keyboard lessons...LOL:D
