Looks like we are going to try this again!
Finally I have a new date! Feb 26th at Madigan I will recieve an ONX Valve to replace my worn out AV. Dr. Nichols and Dr. Havenstrite will perform the surgery. I was so bummed out my original date of Jan 22nd was postponed I literally did all I could too put the pending surgery out of my head---the whole process had me depressed and overwhelmed!! I finally logged back onto this fantastic site today.--I feel better now--I see no reason that this new date wont work and I look forward to getting this process behind me as many of you have already done!

Pulling for you on the 26th. Dr. Nichols, as you know, was my surgeon. Best of luck Zack. I'm already looking forward to reading your post-surgery comments!

Good. Sounds like your ready to rock and roll.
Although it is maddening when things get delayed, I really feel that there is a reason why things happen and I choose to think that it worked out better in the long run. Will be thinking of you and sending prayers

Glad to hear back from you and to get this update. Sorry you are having a delay but I agree with Tcopel that sometimes these things happen for a reason. Hang in there. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Hi Zach,

I was wondering about you and so glad to hear you finally have a date! Please tell Dr. Havenstrite at Madigan hello for me! I really should call him...my husband is active duty Navy and since the Navy Hosp has no cardiac dept they sent me to Madigan. He was the one who delivered the bad news about the aneurysm, the difficulty of my pending surgery and how important it was to find someone who really had done a lot of aneurysm surgeries! I really appreciated the fact that he was willing to say it was beyond his expertise. Of course, if I had just the valve to deal with he would have been my first choice...I was really impressed with him.

My prayers are with you Zach for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery. Steve and I were saying that once all us Puget Sounders are healed up we need to get together and meet in person! Take care!!

Best of luck wishing everything goes well and you have a speedy recovery.
